Meet Macy L.: A Bright Light Looking for Her Next Role

In honor of National Disability Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM), we’re excited to introduce you to our client, Macy!

Macy is a young woman of faith who believes that everyone is created equal and deserves the same opportunities. With her friendly, outgoing personality and wonderful sense of humor, she has a gift for bringing positivity wherever she goes.

Macy is eager to find meaningful work in back-of-house roles—such as cleaning, sorting, organizing, helping at a thrift store, wiping down tables and menus at a restaurant, or working in laundry services. She’s motivated, dependable, and ready to make a difference.

Born visually impaired, Macy first explored “behind-the-scenes” positions. Through career exploration and her own self-advocacy, she’s now also pursuing Braille certification to support others who are blind or visually impaired. Her long-term goal? To achieve her dream job helping others through Braille.
