Stephanie Gains Real-World Experience Through Her CBA at Round Table Pizza

Stephanie is making great strides toward employment—and her current Community Based Assessment (CBA) at Round Table Pizza is helping her build the skills and confidence she needs to succeed.

So far, Stephanie has had the chance to learn and apply real-world job tasks, including food preparation, stocking the salad bar, and bussing tables. With each shift, she’s developing new strengths and growing more comfortable in a fast-paced work environment.

The Round Table team has been a fantastic partner throughout this experience, offering encouragement and support as Stephanie learns. Their inclusive and welcoming approach has helped her feel like part of the team while she explores her employment potential.

What is a Community Based Assessment (CBA)?

A Community Based Assessment is an opportunity for individuals to explore real job settings while being supported by Columbia Ability Alliance staff. During a CBA, clients try out specific tasks in a workplace to assess their interests, strengths, and support needs. It’s a valuable step in identifying the best-fit employment path and building confidence through hands-on experience.

Stephanie’s CBA is still underway, but she’s already making impressive progress. Once completed, she’ll be ready to move into job placement services—the next step toward achieving meaningful, long-term employment.

We’re so proud of her hard work and grateful for partners like Round Table Pizza, who help make these transformative experiences possible.
