At Columbia Ability Alliance, we proudly participate in the AbilityOne program—an initiative by the Federal government to create employment opportunities for individuals who are blind or have significant disabilities. Through this program, our Federal Building team has been providing janitorial services and ground maintenance to the Richland Federal Building and Federal Courts for over 30 years.
Our dedicated team of on-site staff manage over 700,000 square feet of building, landscaping, and parking lot space. The contract employs an average of 16 people with disabilities from our community, offering services such as:
- Daily janitorial services
- Trash removal and recycling
- Cleaning carpets and waxing floors
- Pest management
- Lawn and landscaping maintenance
- Snow and ice removal
