Empowerment Place: Resource Assistance
At Columbia Ability Alliance, we understand that navigating life’s barriers can be overwhelming. Do you need help searching for jobs or applying for affordable housing? Are you eligible for food assistance, but not sure where to start? We can help! Visit Empowerment Place to get connected with a variety of critical support services. We can assist in various ways by either directly providing services or connecting you with specific resources through our vast connections with community agencies.
Staff will guide you through an easy in-take assessment process to determine which support services are most critical. After you’re connected with the resources you need, our staff will periodically check in to see how you’re doing. Our goal is that you walk out our doors equipped with the support and resources you need to thrive in all aspects of your life.

- Access to job boards, resume help, and job application assistance
- Basic Food application (also known as SNAP or food stamps)
- Low-income housing search and application
- Affordable childcare
- Transportation

- Recovery treatment
