What is the Giving Blitz?
The Giving Blitz is Columbia Ability Alliance’s most exciting fundraising event of the year, filled with high-energy and community challenges that will transform how you think about giving.
Here’s how the magic works: Throughout the week of the Blitz, local sponsors have committed challenge funds that are only released when our community hits specific donation milestones. Your $25 donation might be the one that unlocks an $2,500 sponsor challenge. Your $100 gift could trigger multiple matches. It’s giving, amplified.
And it doesn’t stop there! Because the Blitz isn’t just about giving a non-profit money. It’s about bringing the entire Tri-Cities together around a shared mission with real-time updates on social media, interactive challenges, give-back days across town, and a community showing up for each other, all week long. Let’s unlock the impact together!

Each donation helps unlock these sponsor challenges. Goal: $50,000 in 5 days.
Challenge: The Final Drive
Amazon matches all donations Friday up to $2,000. The Blitz ends at 5 PM, so this is the last chance to give before the final buzzer!
Challenge: Full Roster
$5,000 will be unlocked when we reach 100 donations!
Challenge: The All-Star Lineup
$2,500 will be unlocked when 3 CAA programs (Opportunity Kitchen, Employment Services, Community Center / Nexus Youth Club) each receive at least 20 donations.
Challenge: Sideline Support
$1,500 will be unlocked when 10 businesses make a donation.

Why We Blitz
For over 60 years, Columbia Ability Alliance has helped individuals with disabilities and other life barriers build real independence, through job training, employment support, community connection, and a place to belong.
But that work depends on funding that doesn’t always come easily. Grants and government support only go so far, and many of the people we serve face barriers that make traditional paths to a job, a paycheck, or a sense of community much harder to access.
The Giving Blitz exists to close that gap, together, in one focused, high-energy week. Every dollar raised goes directly toward the programs that help our clients get there: a first job, a new skill, a friendship, a place where they belong.
